Studio Support & Operations Assistant
Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour
Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays | 16+ hours/week
About Paint-In Memories
Paint-In Memories is a creative studio in Santurce where guests disconnect from daily stress and enjoy guided art experiences such as ceramics, canvas painting, clay, glass fusion and more. Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where people can relax, socialize and create something meaningful.
We are looking for a reliable, organized and friendly Studio Support & Operations Assistant to help maintain the studio’s daily operations and guest experience.
This role combines studio operations, customer support, and occasional workshop instructor, including supporting or guiding clay workshops.
Experience with ceramics or clay is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person.
Schedule
• Wednesdays & Thursdays, some weekends (minimum 16 hours weekly)
• Must be available to cover shifts when other team members are off or on vacation
• Some evening hours required
Responsibilities
Studio Operations
• Dip ceramic pieces after they dry
• Load and unload kilns safely
• Match fired pieces with their fire slips
• Notify customers when their pieces are ready for pickup
Studio Maintenance
• Sweep and mop studio floors
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Assist with general studio cleaning and closing tasks
Customer Support
• Assist guests on the studio floor when needed
• Help prepare materials for activities and workshops
• Maintain a welcoming and attentive environment for customers
Workshop Support
• Instruct/ Guide clay workshops and other studio activities
• Help guests feel comfortable creating, even if they have no experience
• Cleaning after workshops
Ideal Candidate
• Responsible and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a hands-on studio environment
• Friendly, patient and comfortable interacting with guests
• Able to follow systems and procedures carefully
• Reliable with scheduling and responsibilities
• Comfortable assisting and guiding groups in workshops
• Experience with ceramics/clay
Requirements
• Prior experience in customer service, food/beverage service, or a creative studio
• Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing/bending during shifts)
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Team-oriented, organized, and positive attitude
• Comfortable assisting and guiding groups in workshops
• Must be available every Wednesday & Thursday, some weekends, plus occasional coverage days
